Scope and ContentThis record series contains property assessment cards for rural land parcels across the State of Michigan. The cards may indicate the year, village/township, county, owner's name and address, descriptions and sketches of buildings, legal description of the parcel, and agricultural uses. The records were created as part of a Depression-era project that created jobs for land surveyors and engineers and established a statewide basis for property tax assessment.
