We want to hear from you! Enncountered a bug?  Want to request a website feature or record? Found a transcription error that needs a correction? Or maybe you want to make a general comment. Let us know!

One way you can give feedback is to fill out the form below. Michigan History Center staff reviews these submissions. In most cases, we do not email back because we don’t need further information. You can make general comments about whether you like or dislike Michiganology. But, we cannot take action on this kind of feedback because it’s without specifics. Above all, we want to learn the most we can about your feedback so we can make the website work better for you.

Another way you can give feedback is by reaching out through phone or email. For contact information, please visit the Archives of Michigan page on Michigan.gov.

We prioritize requests and suggestions by frequency and impact. If an issue impacts anyone using the website, it gets priority. If multiple people make the same request, it gets priority for development. You can check which issues we are currently work on by visiting our bug list page.

As a result of your feedback, we made a number of improvements to Michiganology. The death record index is more robust due to several dedicated people sending us transcription corrections. Staff migrated most JPG2s (a format that most software applications do not open) to JPGs. However, more feedback revealed to us that subsets of the collections did not get migrated. Therefore, we are prioritizing these pockets of JPG2s for migration.

Thank you for your time!
